Robs Tower Garden System

I wanted to make my own tower garden, though I didn't want to print everything, like is done in the excellent tower garden that is here on printables. Another alternative was to use a 4inch PVC pipe, and cut holes with a jigsaw, and using a heat gun melt the openings. I liked the simplicity but didn't like the idea of melting hot plastic while trying to shove a pipe into the hole to open it up. Plus it never really gave the look I want.So I went with a middle ground, which is what the Rob's Tower Garden system is. Basically we use the 4inch PVC like others have, but for the net cup holders we use a hole saw and cut a 3.25 inch hole into the PVC and then silicon in the net cup holder. What you will need:4 Inch PVC Pipe, length is up to you, I just eyeballed mine. But the bigger it is the more netcups you will need. 3.25 inch hole saw0.25 inch drill (for pilot holes using the template) Various 4 inch and half inch pvc pipes for making the drain and water feed systems, which are a little beyond the scope of this system currently. Parts DescriptionsDrill Template - This is used, so that I can align the holes Net Cup Holder - This is the holder for the netcup, depending on how big the tower is this is probably most of what you will be printing. I had to use tree supports.Topper Hat - A cap for the top of the PVC, the spreader screws into it. Also I run the ½ pvc water feed line into it.Topper Spreader - Screws into the Topper Hat, spreads out the water like a shower head.Update: May 16, 2024, The Topper Spreader would leak with higher pressure pumps. Changed design so it it has less of a chance of leaking out the sides under higher pressures.
