Robox 1Kg Spool (Rev.2)

thingiverse

Here's a revised version of your instructions for a new Robox spool: This is a full-size spool that can hold up to 1 kilogram of filament, perfect for heavy-duty printing. To create this spool, you will need to print three wings per side (that's six in total). Since it's thicker than the original model, we had to adjust its design to accommodate the extra weight. The spool comes with a convenient crank mechanism that lets you control the flow of filament easily. For this feature to work, you'll need to install M4x10 countersink screws into the handle. To hold everything in place, use fifteen M3x6 countersink screws - just two on each wing, leaving the center hole free for attaching the filament when winding it around the spool. Using M3x8 screws is necessary to connect the outer wings securely if you decide to incorporate the crank feature, so your spool spins smoothly in place. With this design change, our new Robox spool becomes even more user-friendly than before. Additionally, we've added an optional upgrade: installing a memory chip PCB will allow you to easily program the AutoMaker for precise printing. Date Added - July 28, 2015; Additional modifications made - The Crank and hub components were updated on this same date
