Robotic platform for multiple configuration

Robotic platform for multiple configuration

Hi Maker! With the goal of creating a robot using electronic solutions like Arduino and Raspberry Pi, I needed a solution to test my code quickly. Commercial solutions didn't meet my needs, so I decided to design my own platform. This project is now available for anyone who encounters the same problem, in hopes that it can help you. This platform makes it easy and quick to assemble a robot with 2, 4 or 6 wheel drive, or even legs. It measures 35 cm long, 25 cm wide, and 6 cm high, providing enough space to fit an Arduino Mega board with a motor shield inside. There are several features: A large door for easy access to the interior. Holes for fastening standard servo and stepper motors (NEMA 12 up to 17) on top and bottom for moving sensors, arms, cameras, or anything else you can imagine. Slots for mounting sensors on top and bottom to avoid obstacles. Holes for fastening DC motors and stepper motors (NEMA 12 up to 17) on the sides. Adding mounting holes for LCD 16x02 and nuts cage for door on 09/20/2015. The plan is designed for materials that are 3 mm thick. Here's a video showing some possible configurations: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4M6JiZvHn2w Here are the 3D printed parts for sensors: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1233546, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:938918. This prototype was made at NYBI: http://nybi.cc. If you make it, please let me know your opinion!
