Robotic Hand

Robotic Hand

thingiverse

A slight remix of the Robotic Hand v3.0 by Juan Gutierrez. For most details, see [original project](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:14986). In this version I changed the thumb position and shape so it represents a human hand in relaxed position. I also added more material to finger joints so fingers are closed a bit in open position. If you look at a finger from the side, it's no longer a straight line but a curved line like an open parenthesis. I added round corners for string tunnels inside palm bases to make printing easier on my printer. This might seem redundant since it prints fine without this feature. For those living in Russia with no idea where to get rubber bands, you can find them at orthodontic shops. They come in 1/4 inch diameters and are called "elastiki" or "ortodonticheskie rezinki" or "rezinovye tyagi". Different hardness levels have different names; I got "Medved" 1/4, 4.5 oz (strong) and "Sova" 1/4, 2 oz (weak). Fishing line can be found in supermarkets or fishing equipment shops.
