Robotic Gripper
thingiverse
This design caught my eye while I was browsing online, and I loved it so much that I decided to create a printable version. It functions brilliantly! The long arms connect with 3mm pegs, and the holes in these are slightly smaller to prevent the pegs from falling out. At first, I planned to power the gripper with a small stepper motor from an old CD-ROM drive, but it was too weak. So, I redesigned the mount for a 6V DC motor that I purchased at a local electronics store. Before printing, please read the instructions carefully. To print, you'll need: 1x Robotic gripper base 2x Robotic gripper jaw 8x Robotic gripper arm 2x Robotic gripper arm small 1x Robotic gripper center 1x Robotic gripper DC motor mount Additionally, you'll require: 1x 3mm screw, 45mm long 1x coupler to connect the motor shaft and 3mm screw 1x 3mm rivet nut (e.g., from http://www.rivetsonline.com/rivet-nuts-and-threaded-inserts.html) or make your own using a lathe.
