Robotic Gripper for RC Boat

Robotic Gripper for RC Boat

thingiverse

This custom remote controlled gripper is designed specifically for use on a radio controlled boat, working seamlessly with model buoys that are available on Thingiverse. The grippers' arms are moved by a standard servo motor, which powers the driven arm gear through a servo drive mechanism. This setup enables precise control and movement of the arms. For optimal durability and performance, the gripper portions are printed using Ninja Flex, while the rest of the components are made with ABS as a rigid material. It's worth noting that you can still print and use the grippers without the flex portion if needed. To assemble the device, 4mm stainless steel nuts and bolts are used to secure the various parts together and serve as pivot points for the arms and gears. This ensures smooth movement and stability. The bottom gear assembly consists of two separate components: the "GripAsmBotBot" part that attaches to the bow of the model boat. To accommodate different models, you'll need to customize this part according to your specific needs.
