The primary objective of this project was to streamline the straightforward and uncomplicated robotic flex gripper design for optimal performance. The flex gripper itself is 3D printed as a single, self-contained unit utilizing a pliable filament. Following printing, cables, a servo motor, and several screws are carefully installed, after which the gripper should be fully operational and ready to move! In this iteration, we aimed to 3D print the flex gripper using a combination of various materials. The bottom section is designed to be made from a flexible filament such as TPU, while the remainder is constructed from an affordable rigid filament like PLA or ABS.
