"Robotic Christmas Teapot," affectionately known as Robotic Christmas "Treepot" by my wife, is a motorized, animated Christmas-themed teapot that showcases cutting-edge robotics technology. The animated mechanism boasts three axes of rotation: pitch (the spout), yaw (the handle), and roll (the body), plus a mesmerizing wobbling circular travel path, all driven by a 3.7VDC 100MA LIPO battery powering an N20 6VDC 100RPM gear motor. During operation, the model draws approximately 8MA. I chose to design a teapot for a reason tied to my early days as a graphic designer, when I worked on 3D graphic engines for video games and avionics applications over forty years ago. For some unknown reason, the teapot was always the go-to model for testing CGI/graphic engine rendering speeds. In honor of those design days, I decided to revive my teapot model in 3D print. As usual, I likely left behind a few files or forgot something else entirely, so please don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have – I make plenty of mistakes. I designed the Robotic Christmas Teapot using Autodesk Fusion 360 and sliced it with Cura 4.4.0 before printing it in PLA on both an Ultimaker 3 Extended and an Ultimaker S5. One final note: I receive no compensation in any form for the design, equipment, parts, or materials used in this model.
