Robotic Bartender

Robotic Bartender

thingiverse

This is a budget-friendly, low-power bar robot project that stands out from similar designs on Thingiverse. While many of these projects require air compressors, mains voltages, and expensive Bill of Materials that can run into hundreds of pounds or dollars, this design keeps things simple. Most components are 3D printed, making it easy to assemble and maintain. The robot runs on a USB battery pack and some AA batteries, which is essential when working with liquids and allows for safe transport to parties, the garden, or beaches. If you decide to build your own bar robot, I'd love to see how it turns out! Here are the components needed: * Arduino Uno: http://geni.us/ArduinoUno * Motor driver: http://geni.us/UnoMotorShield * Contact Switch: http://geni.us/ContactSwitch * Linear Bearings: http://geni.us/LinearBearings * Stepper Motor: http://geni.us/StepperMotor * 8mm Steel Rod: https://geni.us/8mmMetalRod * Timing Belt and Pulley (2m version): http://geni.us/TimingBelt * Timing Belt and Pulley (5m version): http://geni.us/TimingBelt5m * Free-flowing optic (for mixers): http://amzn.to/2faZUnl * HM10 Bluetooth module: http://geni.us/HM10Bluetooth * RGB LED: https://geni.us/RGBLEDCC A step-by-step video guide on assembly is available: Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBvXknwVfaI Part 2: https://youtu.be/0t-JTVYdE7s Part 3: https://youtu.be/x-PyuDoUlU8 Part 4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvOpvPKHJvc I also used existing designs from Thingiverse: To hold the Arduino: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:33327 For the drag chain: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:11978 The threaded rods and paddle threads were made using this thingy: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:193647 You can find the Arduino code here: https://diymachines.co.uk/projects/how-to-build-an-arduino-diy-robotic-bartender.html If you'd like to support me, you can: 'Buy me a coffee' at https://ko-fi.com/diymachines or check out our Patreon page: https://www.patreon.com/diymachines UPDATE 12/01/2018: I've been asked to slice up the main slider base so it might be printed on a smaller print bed. I've uploaded files 'Slider Base V3 - P1of2' and Slider Base V3 - P2of2'.
