This is a 3D model I've created for my Robotech RPG game in Astrosynthesis as a Tirol Empire vessel preceding the Robotech Empire and the Zentran Space Forces leading up to the Inter-colony war. The actual space ship was inspired by the anime series The Secret of Blue Water, featuring a secret at the end of the series tied into the Robotech idea. To use this model with Astrosynthesis, convert it back to a .DAE file and follow the correct file format or you won't be able to view the ship in Astrosynthesis. Watch anime like Robotech. https://www.nbos.com/products/astrosynthesis To utilize Astrosynthesis in an RPG, refer to the Game Guide which sets up the map and conceals information, images, intelligence, and clues within the 3D program. Only the Captain can access the system for a maximum of 15 minutes. Once the Captain is finished, the adventure unfolds between the Captain of the ship and their mission, as well as what the Game Guide has in store. In this manner, the Captain must make decisions, devise a plan, and have their team execute it. I began creating the model in Sketchup and converted the files to Blender to produce a .DAE file. The process involved converting from Blender to Meshmixer. During my experimentation, I discovered that parts of the initial Sketchup design vanished. However, converting from Blender to .DAE was straightforward. The transition from Meshmixer to Obj resulted in improved mesh density and accuracy, revealing hidden elements that were cut out during the second attempt. This led to the inclusion of battle damage on the ship. Lesson learned: attention to detail is crucial when working with 3D models.
