The Meltrandi Female Power Armor Series 2, employed by the Meltrandi during the Inter-Colony War to raid enemy fleets, saw action with forces loyal to the Independent Colonies against the Tirol Empire and later for the Robotech Masters. These units played a significant role in determining one group of giant-sized soldiers from another for an opposing colony to the Tirol Empire. The Meltrandi was initially deemed unnecessary by FEMALE Zenpod as artificially produced Zenpods were considered sufficient. However, during the Inter-Colony War, the Meltrandi Fleet was manufactured to serve as a key asset in the conflict. The Colony responsible for producing these units was destroyed, scattering the Meltrandi Fortress and fleets throughout deep space. Following the Tirol Empire's takeover by the Robotech Masters, small groups of Meltrandi joined their Zentran fleets, marking the beginning of the ERA of the Zentraedi. As Special Operating Forces and Raiders, the Meltrandi were utilized by the Zentran fleet, but they remained segregated to prevent their potential destruction. The Robotech Masters deliberately restricted the integration of Meltrandi into the Zentran fleet, opting instead to preserve their combat potential. Meltrandi production lines were established as the mecha R&D improved the Power Armor. Each production line repeated the clone cycle, ensuring that the same troops were present in each fleet. The Power Armor's design and antenna configuration served as visual recognition symbols, identifying which squadron a unit belonged to and which Meltrandi fleet it was part of. A set of four units, approximately 60mm in height, comprised the Meltrandi Female Power Armor Series 2.
