Robotech GU-11 gunpod (using 3in ID dia PVC tubing)

WORK IN PROGRESS! This is the GU-11 gunpod from Robotech / Macross. To make this, you will need: - 2ft piece of 3in inner diameter (3.5in od) PVC pipe - 3.85in piece of 3in inner diameter (3.5in od) PVC pipe (the piece I currently have in place is double that... my bad!) - glue to hold the whole thing together - matte black spray paint Total length will be about 42.5 inches. Still up in the air as to whether I will glue or bolt this thing together. Open to suggestions. Things to do: - cut out small rectangles in the pvc in accordance with the drawings - modify the sight with a red laser pointer w/ crosshairs. I think I will do the opaque section in clear epoxy so it lights up when the targeting laser is activated. - functioning trigger (?with battery housing?) - motorized spinning barrels with blue laser
