RobotDigg Spool holder with 608ZZ skate bearing inserts

I could not find anything suitable on Thingiverse for my RobotDigg PLA spools, so I designed and printed this 4 mm thick spool holder quickly. With a minor modification, you can easily adapt it to fit any 200 mm diameter spools. It securely holds 21.93 mm diameter skate bearings, providing a snug friction fit with a taper at the back to prevent the bearing from being pushed into the spool. The Robot Digg spools have a 38.14 mm diameter hole, and its center is 104 mm from the base, making it perfectly compatible with the 200 mm diameter Robot Digg spool. The cross members fit tightly, so tapping them gently with a small hammer and applying a drop of crazy glue creates a strong connection. I recommend leaving the little bag of desiccant inside the spool to prevent backspinning, as the bearings are extremely smooth. In the picture, I'm using a 6.26 mm bolt, but it's actually designed for a 7.75 mm threaded rod. Print this design, tap the cross supports firmly, and apply a drop of crazy glue at the connection. Press in the bearings, place them inside the reel, and thread a bolt or section of threaded rod with a couple of washers through the entire assembly. Make sure to leave the little bag of desiccant inside the spool to prevent backspinning.
