Robot Vacuum Cleaner Replacement Wormgear Transmission

<p>We have a house elf we call Dobby. It's our Easystar FC8800 robot vacuum cleaner. One day one of the sweeping brushes stopped turning because the plastic worm gear on the stepper motor had worn out and wasn't catching on the teeth of the brush gear anymore, so I designed and printed replacement parts.</p> <p>This is just the wormgear and the gear that holds the brush. All other parts are transposed from the original motor assembly.</p> <p>The wormgear is an interference fit. It can be tight. You might need to drill out the hole a little bit.<br/> Gear ratio is different from the original. Print twice and replace both sides if you like to keep them in sync.</p> <p>Step file included should you wish to modify or improve the design.</p> Category: Replacement Parts
