To enhance pin security, I altered the track links by adding an END CAP on one end. This change was based on my initial concept of employing a pin/rod and sealing/gluing the other end. However, I later reverted back to using TIE WIRE as my "rivets" due to its affordability in bulk, ease of handling, and replacement flexibility. To further enhance the end cap's hold, I drilled a 1.5mm hole and pushed a 2mm tie wire through it while bending the ends. I printed a single unit for evaluation and found it satisfactory. I am currently printing the 48x model (the 54 model was slightly too large for my printer bed), and if alignment is an issue, feel free to adjust files or the original author can do so as well. The modified design is open for inclusion in the original project or customization as desired by the owner.
