I use an old Tianchen lawn mower that I've customized extensively, including installing a new main board, software from www.ardumower.de, and new blade disks. The robot produces a really loud noise when its wheels roll over stones on small paths. The primary cause of this unpleasant sound is the rock-hard front wheels and their poor bearings. Since I had some 2K silicone on hand, I created a silicone mold to produce new, soft wheels with improved bearings that make virtually no noise. These custom wheels fit perfectly on my Tianchen mower and may also suit others. The image above shows two silicone wheels (yes, the red one is made of silicone too). To create these custom wheels, you'll need to print: 1x Top mold 1x Bottom mold 2x Inner part (kern) You will require some additional items: 1. Approximately 80g of 2K silicone; I sourced mine from www.trollfactory.de. 2. Two bearings of type 6000 ZZ. 3. Screws M3 to join the inner parts together into one piece (these screws become part of the wheel). 4. Screws or zip ties to close the mold, which can be reused later. 5. A syringe, mixing pot, and other common household items.
