This is a precision-designed robotic cutter with adjustable cutting height, featuring a robust frame that adjusts effortlessly by tightening the three screws underneath. To ensure an impenetrable seal, I'm utilizing a polycarbonate sheet for optimal watertightness. Each front wheel boasts two high-performance roller skate bearings, strategically positioned on either side. Meanwhile, the chassis supports four state-of-the-art rollerblade bearings – two atop and two beneath – providing unparalleled stability. The wheels are securely fastened to the chassis via M8 rods, paired with two nuts per wheel and two additional nuts in the chassis, one above and one below, expertly clamping the bearings together. Crafted to accommodate a Nidec 22 motor, the cutter bracket is precision-mounted using three M5 screws and nuts, complemented by a spring for added tension. The drive wheel seamlessly integrates with a custom-made DIY wheel hub fashioned from an M10 screw, ensuring seamless performance. During my initial build, I identified a few areas for improvement. For instance, the insert hole for the front-right bearing was found to be undersized. Fortunately, these flaws have been rectified in this revised design. If you happen to spot any other errors, please don't hesitate to reach out, and I'll promptly address them. The electronics and software driving this marvel were custom-designed by the talented individuals within the "DIY Robot Lawn Mower" Facebook group, founded by the visionary Jonas Forssell.
