A work-in-progress object tests the grip of robot hands using rubber and steel components. The cone's challenging shaping inspired its design. Recessed rubber ensures adequate force without deformation, while steel aids magnetic system testing and adjustable center of gravity via spacers and weights (5 to 25 grams) on a threaded rod.
