Robot Goldfish
thingiverse
A waterless robot goldfish brings swimming fun to a desktop, thanks to its control circuit that replicates fish-like motion by modulating two motors side-to-side. Control this lifelike toy via an infrared TV remote for seamless left, right, and forward movements. The circuit, built with a picaxe 08M, two surface mount transistors, and an IR receiver, fits snugly inside the hollow body. Powered by a 3.7V lipo battery and motors from a toy helicopter, the goldfish is crafted using PLA filament at a recommended 0.1mm layer thickness and 4mm spaced support for optimal print quality. Be cautious when removing supports, as sides might split; super glue can be used for repairs. The detailed fins are printed without support, requiring only superglue to secure them in their designated slots.
