Robot Bump Switch
thingiverse
Designed as a bumper for robots. The bumper includes a tact switch that activates a digital input for the robot controller when the switch is bumped. The switch is in 3 parts - a front bumper, horizontal bracket for attachment to robot body and a stem to hold the switch. Each part is printed separately and assembled for the complete unit as shown. Tact switch and compression sprint are held in place using using hot glue or CA glue. The spring may be omitted if the tact switch has enough 'springiness' to push the higed flap back by itself. The Fusion360 model provided is fully parametric for all major dimensions so the switch can be tailored to the specific robot application. Additional parts required: tact switch, compression spring (if used), 1mm dia wire for hinge, M3 nut and bolt.
