Robot Base II
thingiverse
I'm building a system to develop my skills in designing and printing tank tracks using TPU. Right now, it's working as planned. However, I've discovered that the motors are slightly underpowered to handle the tracks I've designed, so I'll be creating another set that should boost performance and reduce power usage. Furthermore, I intend to build a cover for this system to hold a Raspberry Pi and some sensors. 3/25/17 Edit: I added a new track profile 1b, which makes it much easier for the motors to handle. Parts List: 2 - Pololu micro motors 2 - Pololu M3 hubs 2 - Pololu simple motor controllers (future) 1 - Raspberry Pi (future) 4 - M3 x 30mm screws and bolts with 8 washers (attach chassis to arms) 8 - M3 x 5mm screws (for the hubs) 2 - 1/4" x 1 3/4 inch bolts for the idler pulley 4 - 1/4" inside diameter bearings for the idler wheels Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerGear Printer: MakerGear M2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .2mm
