RoboFamily
thingiverse
The RoboFamily features the laser-cut AlphaBot, parented by the Makerbot-printed Girl Robot based on Protobot and Boy Robot inspired by Tribot "Scout." To personalize the smaller robots, add a servo-holder and ultrasonic sensor extension for directional control. The family communicates via XBee, with kids identifying AlphaBot's direction and expressing emotions like anger or confusion. This creation was part of a collegiate project at the University of Bremen. Components include an Arduino Uno, Lithium-ionic-9V battery, servos, a ball for the bearing, and XBee/IR beacons for communication. AlphaBot is designed for 3.6mm plywood with LEGO tyres on 12V gear motors. Printed parts for the children include an Arduino Mega, LCD display, IR sensors, LEDs, a speaker, and XBee/IR beacons. Enjoy your new robotic family from FabLab Bremen!
