RoboDude
thingiverse
The model of RoboDude was designed using Autodesk Inventor 2011 with only 90-degree angles for a rigid appearance. Standing on a desk or computer, this design is inspired by Daft Punk and tests the makerbot's resolution. However, the medallion's four steps are less exact in the actual print. The thumbscrew holding the filament loosened, causing one layer to be smaller than others. The front also started peeling near the bottom, which can be fixed with glue. Future painting is a possibility for this model. To print RoboDude, download the STL file, generate G-Code, and check the thumbscrew periodically. If there are any gaps, glue can be used to fix them.
