Simple Robocode Robot Explanation Model for Programming Classes License: CC-by-SA (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/) From http://robocode.sourceforge.net/: "Robocode is an Open Source programming game, where the goal is to develop a robot battle tank that can compete against other tanks in Java or .NET. The robot battles are running in real-time and on-screen." This model closely resembles the robots shown in the graphical arena of Robocode, and can be used to demonstrate a robot's movement and rotation capabilities. We assume the robot in the game is 40x40x40 units (mm). You may want to enlarge the STL files before printing the model, for example by 2 to get an 8x8x8 cm³ object, which is printable without support on most printers. In some cases, you will need to rotate some of the pieces accordingly. Customizing with OpenSCAD: Because we are using OpenSCAD's minkowski() function to achieve a smooth finish with no sharp edges, rendering takes a lot of CPU time for higher $fn resolutions.
