Robo3d x-axis wiring guide - remix
thingiverse
@EthanNewhouse came up with an ingenious way to easily unhook the top wire bundle when removing the top cover from the Robo3d without needing any tools, doing a fantastic job. It was a great original idea that required some tweaking to print for me laying flat, so I made it about 10mm narrower while still securely holding the wires. It was my first attempt at Tinkercad. @SonnyDR remixed another version where he eliminated the tab twist to connect using the top slot, still a tooless solution when taking the top off and on, but requiring you to replace the factory hook for the zip tie that screws into the top at the end of the slot. I really liked this option and improved it by making the holes bigger to fit the stock holes, the tab thicker and longer to have more support at the end. I also made the same modification to narrow the print and make it an easy print without needing supports. Finally, I rounded off the right corner to make it fit to the shape of the top of the Robo case better, doing this after my initial print and don't yet have a picture of the new model printed.
