Robo3D Top Mounted Dowel Spool Holder
thingiverse
Create a top-mounted spool holder for your Robo 3D printer using two 3/4 inch dowel rods, one functioning as a stabilizer (lower rod) and the other as a spool hanger. The upper portion of this printed piece is designed for easy filament removal or addition by simply taking out the dowel. The lower slots fit into the printer's top hole. Initially, 3/8" dowels were used in my design but due to unavailability at a local store, I switched to 3/4" ones. This design complements well with my filament guide also designed for 3/4" dowel rods. The creation was done using TinkerCad. Print this holder with 35% infill and 6-layer borders for optimal strength, although lower settings might suffice. It is compatible with Keraynopoylos' design at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:188820 but has the advantage of holding multiple spools instead of just one.
