ROBO3D Spray Shield

ROBO3D Spray Shield

thingiverse

If you're spraying hairspray or cleaning your glass bed with Windex, be prepared for overspray where you don't want it. To solve this problem, I created spray shields that control the spray effectively. The two-piece design is easy to install and remove. I typically position my carriage at 50mm on the Z-Axis before inserting the shields and pull the printing bed all the way forward. I initially designed the spray shield without fan duct mods. However, I've since upgraded to dual fan ducts with 40x40x20 fans. Surprisingly, the spray shield still works well even with this modification. To achieve better coverage of my printing bed's surface, I have to adjust the carriage up to 80mm. Approximately 25mm at the back are blocked by the shield, but it still gets the job done for me.
