The Robo3D R2 won't work with old generation Robo3D filament. Most other spool holders sit freely on the table, taking up space, whereas the ones built into the R2 are fixed in place. This accessory repurposes the top built-in spool holder as a hook and positions the filament similarly to how it would be if using the bottom built-in spool holder.
