Robo3D R1+ Dual Fan Ducts (for stock extruder)
thingiverse
After printing dual fans designed by Novice Expert, I discovered his design specs were tailored specifically for the E3D hotend, which stood significantly taller than my existing stock hot end. As a result, I crafted these dual fan ducts for the Robo 3D R1+ to accommodate the shorter profile of the stock hot end. I built upon Novice Expert's design by incorporating 40mmx40mm fans that effortlessly slide in and lock into place with a snug pressure fit. The fan ducts then securely snap onto the carriage. Thanks to some careful planning, I was able to print this without relying on supports, although some minor sagging did occur in the interior parts - not too problematic, though. To ensure a smooth finish, I used a small desk fan to provide additional cooling as the print neared the overhang and the final top layer, which seemed to make all the difference.
