ROBO3D light clip
thingiverse
The Robo3D features a significant amount of blue light primarily used for aesthetic purposes, making the visibility of printed layers somewhat poor in direct light. This clip employs eight white LEDs connected in series with a single 390-Ohm resistor and is powered by a 9-volt source. Thankfully, a custom PCB isn't required - just some basic soldering skills will do. The clip emits plenty of light while also being completely self-supporting, with direct illumination neatly shielded away. Best of all, modifying the printer itself remains unnecessary, thereby keeping your warranty intact.
