Robo3D Lead Screw Upgrade - Quick Printing Hole Cover
pinshape
I upgraded my Robo3D R1 with the Lead Screw upgrade, only to discover a hole exposing the screw connected to the motor. This led me to worry that small pieces of plastic could fly in there and cause damage. To find a solution without disassembling everything, I came up with a quick printing hole cover (max 3 minutes) that can be easily slid onto the screw without affecting the thread. **Instructions:** Print with the hole facing downwards. Use PLA material. Set layer height to .3mm. No support is required. Infill should be 20% for flexibility and strength. I recommend scaling up by 1% to prevent printing excess from interfering with the lead screw threads.
