ROBO3D fan mount mod for E3D V5 hotend nozzle
thingiverse
Improved side airflow is achieved by having the warm air blown aside, preventing the cooling fan from picking up and circulating this heated air. This results in a more efficient cooling process. The E3D Hotend's increased size compared to standard ROBO3D nozzles necessitated an updated fan bracket design. The original bracket has been replaced with a new version that is installed at the front of the printer. For installation, first ensure your E3D blower fan faces towards the back, drawing air in from this direction (refer to the provided picture for guidance). Proceed by installing the bracket and then securing the FAN in place. Enjoy the rest of your day! When printing, it is recommended to use hair gel or spray as a removable surface treatment. Print with 100% solid infill at a layer height of 0.3mm for optimal results. Due to the model's small size, effective cooling during the printing process is essential. Maintain airflow by pointing the fan towards the model or reduce print speed while applying gentle pressure with a cold metal object (such as a spoon's handle) on the model edges if curling occurs. No support printing is required for this design.
