ROBO3D E3D-V6 Clamp
thingiverse
Designed with Thingiverse user Spauda01, renowned for their work on D-Bot printers: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1001065 This design is specifically tailored for ROBO3D owners who upgraded their hot end to the E3D V6 and then discovered that the two screws in the heatsink top do not adequately secure the hot end. Before developing this clamp design, I had previously encountered three heat sinks that would all grind out on top from the screws. This clamp will lower the hot end assembly height slightly. You may need to install a longer PTFE tube for easier filament insertion and also adjust your z offset accordingly. My own z offset with this clamp installed is -1. Use the existing screws in the X axis assembly to attach the larger half of the clamp to the bottom of the X axis assembly. Then, use two M3 25 mm bolts and two M3 nuts to securely fasten the smaller half of the clamp around the top of the heat sink to the larger half.
