Robo3d Camera Mount (Logitech 270)

thingiverse

Hey everyone, I'm thrilled to share my first ever upload to Thingiverse with all of you. Please bear with me as this is a new experience. I recently discovered Octopi and was excited to use the webcam feature. I headed down to my local big box store and picked up a Logitech C270 for around 30 bucks, plugged it into the Octopi, and it worked flawlessly right off the bat. However, I struggled with finding a suitable mount for the camera. I searched Thingiverse for a solution and was thrilled to find plenty of options that could be used. The challenge with having a custom Robo3D is that things that work for others may not necessarily work for you. My Robo3D has an enclosure around it, which makes printing ABS a breeze, but this comes at the cost of limited space – hence the reason for this project. You can find my enclosure design here: https://printedsolid.com/products/robo-3d-safety-enclosure-kit I came across a part designed by adamsgl (I'm sorry I couldn't tag him) which inspired me to create this project. What started as a remix turned into a full redesign after seven revisions. To cut a long story short, I designed the base to be compatible with any webcam, allowing for adjustments so that you can center the camera on your print. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you for taking the time to look at my design and happy printing!
