ROBO3d Bed Leveler ~Revised
thingiverse
Improve bed leveling with no height loss using shafts and springs A simple yet effective method for bed leveling without losing height involves two hollow shafts sliding within each other, allowing a screw to pass through. Each shaft has a 2mm base or cap for support, while an internal spring pushes the shafts apart. This design prevents horizontal movement caused by bolt tips, unlike previous solutions with only springs. The shafts were initially created with a pen spring but can be used with similar springs from MCMaster-Carr (product number 94125K633). The spring dimensions are: Metric Compression Spring, Music Wire; Length uncompressed - 19mm Overall, Diameter - 9mm OD, Wire width - 1.00mm, Compressed height - 7.5mm, and fully compressed height - 11mm (with current height at 12mm). The cost for a pack of five springs is just over $10. This leveling system replaces the current shaft to implement it effectively. Enjoy printing your creations!
