Robo R2 Print Head Lower Plastic
thingiverse
This modification eliminates all play in the print head. I had already replaced three of the LM6LUU ball bearings in the existing design when this project began. To achieve an equivalent length of 55 mm, a bronze bushing is used on each end of the plastic. These bushings should outlast the printer's lifespan. The necessary parts are available for purchase on Amazon. The PCB is secured with one 3x5 mm socket head screw (optional) and two 3x(10 to 25) mm socket head screws. Once in place, the board snaps under the plastic near the filament holes. To ensure accurate printing, download the alignment tools from Robo and print them before aligning the printer. This step will significantly improve accuracy. After reassembling the carriage assembly, it is essential to align the print head, allowing for smooth movement. This approach will yield more accurate results than relying on the alignment tools alone. Pitsco Education 40227 Tetrix Prime 6 mm Id x 8 mm od Bronze Bushing
