Robo R1 Mount for Thordsen 3D Inline Filament Dryer

A specially designed Robo-R1 mount securely holds the heater and control box of a "THORDSEN 3D INLINE FILAMENT DRYER". This mount is engineered to fit snugly into the slot on top of a Robo R1 or Robo R1+ printer. You can technically print this mount and use it as a stand on a desk or shelf above your printer, but the support base needs to be enlarged or secured to a stable base if you choose this configuration. The holder requires 2 M3 x 12mm and 2 M3 x 18mm hex socket screws for assembly. You can purchase screws with thread lengths that are +/- 2mm shorter or longer, which should still fit together securely. Don't over-tighten the screws, as this could compromise the integrity of the mount. Both brackets need to be installed into the printer slot before securing them to the controller box. It's essential to pay attention to the orientation of the bracket during mounting (see photos), ensuring that it is positioned as far from the central heater region as possible. The Thordsen filament dryer has an arrow indicating the direction of filament flow during drying, so the heater block must be mounted in the correct direction. To hold your filament, you will need a spool that is side-mounted like this: or turn this design sideways and use just one piece with something to keep the spool on: After exiting the dryer, the filament tube can be routed down with zip ties along the existing Robo R1 wiring to the printer head. It seems to stick securely into the print head spring-loaded fork. As a side note, I have not tested this design yet at max Robo R1 print height. The holder should probably be printed in ABS or a higher temperature filament, as it may get quite warm during operation where it comes in contact with the dryer block.
