We introduce a revolutionary design system that empowers both beginners and experts to quickly craft customized robotic devices with ease. At its heart lies a design abstraction that masterfully replicates how electromechanical components can be seamlessly combined to form intricate robotic systems. Using this abstraction, we develop a visual design platform that enables users to intuitively navigate the vast landscape of robots that can be created using a specific set of actuators, mounting brackets and 3d-printable components. Our computational system also offers robust support for design auto-completion operations, significantly streamlining the process of creating robotic devices. Once robot designs are complete, they can be thoroughly tested in physically simulated environments and iteratively refined until they meet the unique requirements of their users.
