robo 3d z axis mods
thingiverse
I acquired an older robo 3D printer that was surprisingly less sturdy than its plus counterpart. To address this issue, I implemented some quick and easy fixes that resolved all z-axis wobble problems. This solution should be helpful for anyone with an R1 model. In addition, I incorporated stevedjarrell's lead screw base as a supplementary support system. The oval-shaped component is positioned at the top of the rod within the slots on the casing, firmly pressed into place. Next, the top case is reattached (it fits snugly and serves a purpose). The cylindrical slide/screw is inserted into the opening above the nuts, securing it in position. Finally, the brace is mounted atop the screw attached to the rod.
