This design for replacing Y-axis drawer rail slides is relatively straightforward. Ensure to print the Y base, rod adapters, and spacers in ABS; cable management should be printed in PLA. Print all parts with 30% infill. After printing, drill the rod adapters slightly to allow snug fitting on the rod for easy placement. With this modification, you lose only 3mm of height compared to stock and maintain full usable heated bed functionality. You may only require a washer under one corner for leveling, although it might not be necessary.
