A simple clip on mount allows direct attachment of the cable chain to the extruder stepper motor, eliminating the need for a custom X carriage. I liked the cable chain concept but disliked discarding the original X axis carriage to accommodate the printer; instead, this design clips around the motor and can be secured with one screw in the corner if desired. The screw is optional since the clip fits snugly around the motor body.
