Robo 3D Dual Fans with IR sensor mount
thingiverse
This is a Dual Fan setup for a Robo 3D with the Hexagon Hot End. There are four fan enclosures included, the front, rear and two rear units with mini IR sensor mounts, one adjustable mount and one fixed unit. All four have slider options to modify air flow. I designed this for use with the Noctua 40mm NF-A4x10 fans, but if you plan to use other fans you will need to modify the fan mount to allow screws in the top fan holes (STEP file included). For the Noctua fans, there are two pegs at the top and holes for screws on the bottom of the fans, with pegs alone holding the fan. I've included screens for the fans along with spacers between the IR board and the mount and a template for aligning the sensor. Use two M2 X 6 machine screws and nylon insert lock nuts for each. Regular nuts can vibrate off if used instead. These will work on a stock Robo 3D R1(+) without modification. I printed with PLA using S3D, and supports are required for the fan mounts, but other parts need no supports. The Guide.stl is a light guide, printed in clear, for the LED which now faces to the rear, this is experimental and I may change this in the future. A new curved light guide has been added. Note: I've updated the spacer to make it a little thicker and added a mini IR sensor version with a fixed mount and captive nuts. The z offset using this version should be -1.99 to -2.1.
