Robo 3d belt clip/tensioner

I'm struggling with ghosting/ripples in my prints, and I've tried everything to resolve it. I've recently added an adjustment to the X/Y belts, hoping it would help tighten up the stock carriage, but unfortunately, it just slides into place without any real hold. There's a designated spot for an M2 nut and bolt to provide extra tightening if needed, but even that hasn't made a significant difference yet. I'm starting to wonder if anyone else is experiencing this issue - has anyone found a solution?
