Robin MKS display fascia for MPSM v2 3D printer with SD card socket

Recently the controller board on my Monoprice Select Mini (MPSM) v2 3D printer malfunctioned and damaged some motor controllers and the heater MOSFET chip. After researching online, I found the replacement board listed on the supplier's website but it was out of stock with an extra shipping cost from overseas to the UK. To save time and money, I decided to replace the controller board with a Makerbase Robin MKS board featuring their LCD touchscreen. Wiring the new board into my 3D printer was relatively straightforward; most cables plugged right in while just a couple required cutting and stripping for screw terminals. The display is slightly larger than the original one, so I designed a fascia to hold it in place, also adding a full-size SD card socket for easy access. This modification addressed a design flaw of the stock MPSM v2 as its micro-sized SD card slot was at the bottom panel and difficult to access. The design necessitated bolting the fascia to the 3D printer front casing using M3 bolts and screwing the display onto it from inside, which required some finesse but was accomplished easily with a short screwdriver. The positions of the screw upstands allowed for easy use of washers to secure the display in place. For the SD card socket, I acquired a short extension cable with a sort-of-SD-card end and an SD card socket on the other. A small bracket designed to glue into the fascia held the socket firmly in place. A minor issue arose when printing the fascia as it exceeded the MPSM v2's build volume; thus, I included a version cut in half with overlaps for careful gluing together. This method produced satisfactory results after some joint filling and spray painting, as evident from the attached photos. The OpenSCAD file is also provided for customization or modification according to individual preferences or specific display or SD socket requirements.
