Robbe U47 - Tech Rack - RC Submarine
thingiverse
UPDATE: Fixed lower support size. My Robbe U47 Tech Rack. This redesign uses the same hardware as the basic dynamic build. I never liked the kit-built version - it was flimsy, parts kept breaking, and leaks were a problem. The new design has been 100% leak-proof so far. Most electronic shelves can be printed with low infill, but I recommend building the endcaps, servo tray, and engine mounts at 85% for added strength. Additionally, I applied a thin layer of epoxy to the very end cap for extra waterproofing. The original plans called for two 6V batteries, so if you're using those, print two battery trays. I assembled it all with four pieces of 8-32 threaded rod and four nuts. Right now, I'm building parts that allow the rear of the sub to be unscrewed for maintenance. I never liked the epoxy seal and running until it fails isn't a good idea. Enjoy! I plan to convert my sub into a static diver over winter after I finish all the cosmetic work. :)
