ROADBOOCK MOTO

I recommend printing with PLA or PETG. There's no need to print with support. I suggest printing at high quality and low speed. Assembly is very simple: First, place the bearings in their position. Second, cut the 6mm threaded rod into two pieces of 20cm and two other pieces of 17cm (or 18cm... read the assembly method first). Third, place the thicker printed tubes in their position and thread the 20cm rod from the outside to the end. It should protrude enough to rest well on the bearing. This is where the paper roll from the roadbook will be threaded. Fourth, thread one centimeter and a bit more of one of the locknuts onto the 20cm rod, put the button in its place, and put the second locknut in place so it doesn't come loose. The cap should be stuck to the body of the roadbook holder so much that it's difficult to turn it. There should be friction. With everything secure, put the cover on the button. Lastly, thread the 17cm rod into the thinner tubes until it's all the way in (it's best to leave a bit more length to make some force when threading it and then cutting it off at tube level). Another option is to look for some type of fiber tube like archery arrow shafts, camping pole tubes, or comets 8mm. Place it in its position and check that it rolls smoothly. Add the brake piece. With this, the mechanical part of the roadbook holder would be assembled. Attach some type of foam or eva to seal any water entries around the top frame. Cut the acrylic with the measure of the top frame. Secure it with the two velcro straps. To fix the roadbook holder to the motorcycle handlebar, I recommend using the Ram mount system. It's expensive but very effective. Searching a bit, you can find Chinese copies made of plastic that would do the job... Don't print the Ram balls because they break easily due to their weight. And enjoy the route! It works just as well as the professionals and the cost is much lower. Enough to enjoy the route with your motorcycle.
