The second figure in the Road To 2020: HNV line is King Dedede, Planet Popstar's penguin hero. His first encounter was in Kirby's Dreamland, where he stole all of the food from Dreamland, leading to a thrilling battle with the lovable Kirby. Since then, Dedede has become more of a trusted ally to Kirby, but don't mention it to anyone! He'd love to be remembered as the villain who "clobbered that there Kirby" (Kirby Right Back At Ya!, the official Kirby anime). The design for this is inspired by an older version of King Dedede, with nods to his Smash Bros. crouch, where he smugly rests in front of his opponents - probably the most effective taunt in any Smash game.
