Road Bike Headset Upper Spacer

This is an integrated upper spacer designed specifically for road bike headsets. It serves as a crucial link between the top bearing and the stem, ensuring a seamless transition from the head tube to the stem. Measuring 20mm in height, this spacer fits perfectly on road bikes with a 45mm head tube diameter. To assist users, two files have been provided: one for the spacer itself and another for a shim. The shim is positioned between the spacer and the upper bearing to create clearance between the top tube and the spacer. Please note that the provided shim is 10mm tall, which may be excessive in many cases. To achieve the optimal height for your application, it's recommended to scale down your z-axis accordingly. For instance, on my 2013 Specialized road bike, the ideal spacer thickness is approximately 1mm.
