RMS Titanic 1/500scl
thingiverse
This is the most Accurate 1/500th Scale Model of the RMS Titanic I've seen online, but it had several areas that could be improved and finished. I added all the Cabin Windows as well as extra details on the Decks, the Decks themselves, and the Rudder from the original model maker. One thing you may notice is that there are screw holes to assemble it together, but most of them don't make sense in their positions, nor can some be accessed at all. This was something I completely overlooked, and ended up Super Gluing the Model together. The Grand Staircase greatly needs to be printed at the highest resolution your printer offers. For mine, that is 0.06mm; otherwise, parts of it will be missing. Unfortunately, I could not find any Propeller models online that would print properly at such a small scale and did not model any myself. I may do so in the future. By the way, I recommend sanding the Model after assembly due to some edges not perfectly matching up; it makes all the difference. I advise priming the whole thing with a single coat of white Rust-Oleum Spray Paint before painting or even if you want to just keep it one color. It makes all the whites of the ship more uniform and makes the model look cleaner. The Model is too top-heavy to float unless you possibly put enough ballast in the hull.
