rLab Unified Dust Collection System

This is a unified dust collection system designed to help manage dust in rLab's workshop. Its purpose is to provide a single, compatible connection system that links vacuum dust extractors to main tools generating dust. The system uses 50mm ID PVC spiral hoses suitable for vacuums of various sizes, including the Scheppach HA-1000 units currently being used. These designs are intended as an intermediate size for general workshop use on fixed tools and are in the process of being expanded to include mini-sized couplers for hand tools. This repository contains generic fittings along with OpenSCAD files that can be customized to fit specific tools, but they are not pre-adjusted. For actual connections used at rLab, please check out the collection this thing is part of, which includes various connectors and customized versions for specific tools. Fittings are mechanically compatible within major version numbers; a V4.0 hose connects to a V4.4 fitting or vice-versa, but not with V3.x fittings. To use these designs, download the desired file, V4_fitting.scad, along with the threads.scad library file version 2.2 by Dan Kirshner available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1938150. Updated 18/9/19 - New version of V4_fitting.scad uploaded including mini fittings.
